How to install your eSIM on Android

Before You Start

Before installing your eSIM:

  • Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  • Have the email we sent you with your installation details ready.
  • Do not lock your device or turn off the screen during the installation process.

You can install your eSIM using either of these two methods:

  • Using a QR code (recommended).
  • Entering the installation details manually.

Option 1. Install Using a QR Code

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager.
  2. Tap Add eSIM.
  3. Select Scan QR code from service provider.
  4. Scan the QR code we sent you by email.
  5. Wait while your device identifies the mobile plan.
  6. Tap Add to complete the installation.

Google Pixel

  1. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.
  2. Tap Add SIM.
  3. Select Set up an eSIM or Download a SIM, depending on your Android version.
  4. Scan the QR code we sent you by email.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Other Android Devices

The menu path may vary depending on the manufacturer, but you will usually find the option under:

Settings → Network & Internet / Connections / Mobile Networks / SIM Manager → Add eSIM

Then:

  1. Select the option to scan a QR code.
  2. Scan the QR code we sent you by email.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Confirm the installation when prompted by your device.

Option 2. Manual Installation

Use this method if you cannot scan the QR code. You will need the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code included in your doctorSIM email.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager.
  2. Tap Add eSIM.
  3. Select Scan QR code from service provider.
  4. Tap Enter Activation Code.
  5. Enter the installation details included in the email.
  6. Tap Connect or Add.
  7. Wait while the eSIM is downloaded and installed.

Google Pixel

  1. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.
  2. Tap Add SIM.
  3. Select Set up an eSIM or Download a SIM.
  4. On the QR code screen, tap Need help? or the option to enter the details manually.
  5. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code included in the email.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Other Android Devices

  1. Open the menu to Add an eSIM.
  2. Select Enter Activation Code, Enter Details Manually, or a similar option.
  3. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code included in the email.
  4. Confirm the installation.
  5. Wait until your device indicates that the eSIM has been successfully added.
