To check if your Android phone asks for the unlock code, simply insert a SIM card from a carrier that is different to the original network.
You will be asked to "Enter network unlock code" or for the "SIM network unlock PIN".
What do I do if my Android phone doesn't prompt for the unlock code?
Unfortunately, if the phone doesn't ask for the unlock code it is not possible to unlock it because it almost certainly has an additional restriction placed on it by the original network or has been blacklisted due to loss, theft or non-payment. As doctorSIM cannot remove these carrier-specific restrictions, we recommend contacting the carrier directly for further assistance.
On the other hand, it is normal for iPhones, Nokia/LG phones and those devices with the Device Unlock installed not to ask for the unlock code. For example, if you insert a SIM card into a locked iPhone belonging to a network different to the original you will get a "SIM not supported" message.
Under these circumstances, you can still unlock your phone as long as you have performed the rest of our recommended checks.
Please read the descriptions of the unlocking services carefully before making your selection and submitting your unlocking request:
