UnlockMySIM Setup - Updated August 2019

First, please make sure that you have placed the UnlockMySIM Clip sticker correctly, as shown below in the images:

* IMPORTANT: The red lines in the first image are where you need to fold the UMS Sticker in order to attach it to your SIM card if your iPhone is a XS Max or XR.

 

How to set up your iPhone if the original network carrier is from the United States.

Option 1 -  Place your UnlockMySIM sticker and wait a few seconds until the ICC menu opens automatically. Below is how the menu will appear on your screen:

Select the Edit ICCID option and, if applicable, delete the current ICCID number and type the ICCID you can access by clicking here.

 

Option 2 - Follow the configuration process as shown in the video by clicking here. These are the steps:

  • On the dial pad type *5005*7672*88# and press dial. If with this step you can not access the configuration menu, move to the next step.
  • On the dial pad type *5005*7672*00# and press dial. If with this step you can not access the configuration menu, move to the next step.
  • On the dial pad type *5005*7672*0# and press dial. If with this step you can not access the configuration menu, move to the next step.

Delete the current ICCID and replace it with the one which appears at step 3 on our configuration web page, which you can access by clicking here.

 * If none of the steps above works, carry out the process again with a different SIM card from the original carrier of the device (if you have one) or with a SIM card from a different carrier.
We have detected that there are SIM cards with which it is not possible to access the configuration menu, and by following the steps with a different SIM card it works.

 

Option 3If the previous steps did not work, please follow these steps with a SIM card from the original carrier of the device:

  • Place your UMS Clip Sticker with a SIM card from the original carrier of your iPhone
  • Go to - Settings - Mobile Data - SIM Applications - Setting Carrier - Perfect Unlock via ICCID

Delete the current ICCID and replace it with the one which appears at step 3 on our configuration web page, which you can access by clicking here.

 

Option 4If the previous steps did not work, please follow these steps with a SIM card from the original carrier of the device:

  • Place your UMS Clip Sticker with a SIM card from the original carrier of your iPhone
  • Go to - Settings - Mobile Data - SIM Applications - Setting Carrier - Perfect Unlock via ICCID

Delete the current ICCID and replace it with the one which appears at step 3 on our configuration web page, which you can access by clicking here.

Remove your UMS Clip Sticker and your SIM card and insert them again in the iPhone you want to use.

 

How to set up your iPhone if the original network carrier is NOT from the United States.

If you were unable to set up your iPhone with the UMS Sticker with the steps outline above, we'll explain what you need to do below.

 

Option 1 - Follow the steps below with a SIM card belonging to the network carrier you wish to use your iPhone with.

  • Position the UMS Clip Sticker alongside a SIM card belonging to the network carrier you wish to use your iPhone with.
  • Go to Settings - Mobile data - SIM Apps - Select Unlock Mode - Manual via IMSI/TMSI - input imsi.
  • Under EDIT IMSI you will be asked for a 7-digit code. Type the IMSI of the original network carrier of your iPhone (if your iPhone is locked to AT&T, type the IMSI for AT&T even though you are going to use the device on another network.
  • Click here for the list of IMSIs.
  • Once you've typed the IMSI for the original network of your iPhone press Send.
  • Select the TMSI 2G/3G/4G (Auto/Manual) option.
  • Select the AUTO MODE1 option.
  • You will get the following message: Setup OK! Restart your iPhone now.

 

Option 2 - Follow the steps below with a SIM card belonging to the original network carrier of your iPhone. 

  • Position the UMS Clip Sticker alongside the SIM card of the original network carrier of your iPhone. 
  • Go to Settings - Mobile data - SIM Apps - Select Unlock Mode - Manual via IMSI/TMSI - input imsi.
  • Under EDIT IMSI you will be asked for a 7-digit code. Type the IMSI of the original network carrier of your iPhone (if your iPhone is locked to AT&T, type the IMSI for AT&T even though you are going to use the device on another network.
  • Click here for the list of IMSIs.
  • Once you've typed the IMSI for the original network of your iPhone press Send.
  • Select the TMSI 2G/3G/4G (Auto/Manual) option.
  • Select the AUTO MODE1 option.
  • You will get the following message: Setup OK! Restart your iPhone now.

 

Option 3 - The third and final option is to set up the UMS with a factory-unlocked iPhone.

  • Position the UMS Clip Sticker alongside a SIM card of any network carrier in your factory-unlocked iPhone.
  • Go to Settings - Mobile data - SIM Apps - Select Unlock Mode - Manual via IMSI/TMSI - input imsi.
  • Under EDIT IMSI you will be asked for a 7-digit code. Type the IMSI of the original network carrier of your iPhone (if your iPhone is locked to AT&T, type the IMSI for AT&T even though you are going to use the device on another network.
  • Click here for the list of IMSIs.
  • Once you've typed the IMSI for the original network of your iPhone press Send.
  • Select the TMSI 2G/3G/4G (Auto/Manual) option.
  • Select the AUTO MODE1 option.
  • You will get the following message: Setup OK! Restart your iPhone now.
