Is my phone compatible with eSIM?

Most smartphones released from 2018 support eSIM (iPhone XS or later, Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S20+, and other flagship models).

Quick EID check

Open the Phone app, dial *#06#, and look for an EID code. If you see an EID, your device usually supports eSIM.

Important requirements

  • Carrier-unlocked phone — a carrier-locked device may reject third-party eSIM profiles.
  • Updated software — install the latest iOS or Android version.
  • Region of purchase — some models sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Turkey, the US, or Korea may have restrictions. See brand notes on the compatibility page.

On iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for No SIM restrictions to confirm the device is unlocked.
