iCloud Status Check

Have you requested an iCloud Status Check from doctorSIM and looking for information on how to understand the report you've received?

With this check, you will find out if your iPhone has the iCloud Activation lock enabled or not. If enabled, you will only be able to use your iPhone if you have the password.

IMPORTANT: Neither this service nor any other service offered by doctorSIM can disable the iCloud Activation lock.

We recommend contacting Apple if you cannot remember the password. For more information, click on the link below:

1. The different sections of the report

  • IMEI number: the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique 15-17 digit number given to every phone which can then be used to check information such as the phone's country of origin, the manufacturer and its model number.

  • FMI: Clean / Lost / OFF

2. Which section tells me if my iPhone has the iCloud Activation lock enabled or disabled?

The section which verifies the current iCloud status of your iPhone is "FMI". The result of the check will be one of the three options detailed below:

  • FMI: Clean

"FMI: Clean" means your iPhone is currently associated with an iCloud account.

You will need the username and password of the iCloud account to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone is second-hand, ask the owner to disable Find My iPhone and the iCloud Account.

This phone check doesn't guarantee the iPhone hasn't been reported (blacklisted) by the original operator due to loss, theft or non-payment. You can verify that information by requesting a full report from the network.

  •  FMI: Lost

"FMI: Lost" means your iPhone is currently associated with an iCloud account and has also been identified as reported or stolen by the Find My iPhone application.

You will need the username and password of the iCloud account to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone is second-hand, ask the owner to disable Find My iPhone and remove the iCloud Account.

It is also possible the device has been reported (blacklisted) by the original operator due to loss or theft. You can verify that information by requesting a full report from the network.

  • FMI: OFF

"FMI: OFF" means your iPhone does not currently have the Find my iPhone feature activated and therefore you do not need an iCloud account password to restore it to factory settings.

This phone check doesn't guarantee the iPhone hasn't been reported (blacklisted) by the original operator due to loss, theft or non-payment. You can verify that information by requesting a full report from the network.
